Description

The Patent Docket Clerk is responsible for the data entry and daily maintenance and operation of the IP practice group’s computerized (IP Manager) docketing system.

The IP Docket Clerk's duties include the following:

• Integrating new files and records in the docketing system
• Processing and docketing all incoming mail, faxes and email
• Coding, monitoring and maintaining due dates and other information
• Verifying and clearing daily action deadlines and reminders
• Managing other related duties including running reports, docketing annuity instructions and maintaining quality controls

Requirments

• Bachelor's Degree
• Candidates should have 2-5 years experience of international patent docketing in a law firm or corporate legal department.
• Knowledge of US and international patent prosecution processes and maintenance of patents as well as the ability to understand US and international patent office rules is essential.
• Applicants should possess a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of IP Manager is a plus.
